Brooklyn bridge a N.Y.C icon

With construction starting in 1869 it was one of the first suspension bridges ever built. It was also the longest at that time. It's towers were the tallest man made object in the western world when it was built. Twenty seven men gave their lives building this long lasting icon. The Brooklyn bridge played and still plays a major part in the immense growth by connecting the city. Today the bridge has became a major tourist attraction for New York City. As people stand on the bridge looking down the east river or watching as the train go across and even taking curiousity in the many joggers, bikers, and cars thet cross the bridge every day reminds me of why i love the big apple.

Her mint green oxidize copper frame stand holding her touch high above her head with her right hand. In her left hand held close to her is a tablet inscribed July 4 1776 symbolizing the independence of america.
